Terms and conditions
Clear and concise: what you can expect when we collect, sort and process your old IT hardware.
1. Scope
These terms apply to all services provided by Drive4Recycle: collecting, inspecting, sorting and arranging processing of used IT hardware for business customers.
2. Requests and assessment
You submit your hardware with a photo or a short description. Based on that, we confirm in advance what we will take and how the storage devices will be processed. If the batch on site clearly differs from the photo, we will consult you first.
3. Collection
- We collect at your location at a time agreed in advance.
- Unless otherwise agreed, the hardware must be accessible on the ground floor or via a normal access route.
- The exact acceptance conditions may vary by material type. If there is anything we cannot take, we will tell you in advance or on site.
4. Ownership
By handing over the hardware, you transfer ownership to Drive4Recycle, unless otherwise agreed in writing. You confirm that you are entitled to dispose of the equipment.
5. Storage devices
- Storage devices are kept separate from other hardware.
- Where possible, specialist, certified partners securely erase or destroy them.
- The processing is documented.
- We agree with you in advance how your storage devices will be processed. You will receive a data removal and processing certificate.
- You may remove storage devices yourself if you prefer. Let us know when you submit your request.
6. Sorting and destination
On arrival, the hardware is inspected and sorted into reusable hardware, hardware for parts and recycling. We determine the destination of each device.
7. Costs
Collection is free for businesses. No minimum, no weight limit. We do not collect from private individuals.
8. Proceeds and charity
If collected hardware is sold, we make an agreed share of the proceeds available to a local charity. The contribution is linked to what is actually sold and is not a fixed amount per collection.
9. Liability
We provide our services to the best of our ability.
