A laptop for children who don’t have one

KEI Rijswijk supports families in Rijswijk living around the minimum income level. Its computer scheme provides loan laptops for children aged 8 and over, and up to €400 towards their own laptop when they start secondary school.

Why we chose them. Closely connected to what we do: we collect laptops, and they make sure children have one.

[ 05 ] A second life

Where the hardware ends up.

Usable hardware goes to organisations that can put it to use straight away.

Start-ups

First workstations, without buying everything new.

Small businesses

Affordable, reliable hardware.

Schools and community organisations

Workstations on a tight budget.

[ 06 ] Transparency

What we do and don’t promise.

What we promise

  • A pre-agreed share of the proceeds goes to the charity
  • Usable hardware is reused
  • We confirm in advance what we will take and how the storage devices will be processed.

What we don’t promise

Not every batch brings in money. The contribution depends on what is actually sold. There is no fixed amount per collection.
